The Call!

Guess after guess after guess, the anticipation to know where I would be assigned to serve a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints was growing. The Church sends young missionaries all around the world, so I could be sent literally anywhere. "Canada," "North Dakota," "Poland," "Spain," "Sweden," and "California," were among the many guesses of friends and family. Only the actual letter would tell me where I would be serving a mission for eighteen months.

The letter read as follows:
"Dear Sister Brown,

You are hereby called as a missionary of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. You are assigned to labor in the Massachusetts Boston Mission. It is anticipated that you will serve for a period of 18 months.

You should report to the Provo Missionary Training Center on Wednesday, December 5, 2012. You will prepare to preach the gospel in the Spanish language..."

It's been a little over four months since I first read that letter, and I still get a rush when I read it. I know that this place, Massachusetts area, is where I am supposed to be! That right now is the right time to be going! And that the good news that I will be sharing is true!
